Hello,

Let me introduce myself and my partner.

I am a professional writer with many years of experience of writing for non-profits and other organizations. My background is social work and fundraising - though I have spent some years working in direct mail advertising.I have been working in the same job as a developer of fundraising communications, for twenty years, so I must be doing something write!

My partner is Jock Falkson, who headed South Africa's foremost direct mail advertising firm, Effective Letters, for over 50 years. Jock's well known for his smooth, empathic and highly personal copywriting style. His fundraising letters have successfully brought in funds to serve many worthy causes .

Until 1986, in South Africa I worked as a social worker in family therapy services.
Since 1988, I have worked for Beit Issie Shapiro, the leading provider of services to people with special needs and their families, in Israel. I manage an international development department.

My work includes:
- liaising with overseas offices in the USA, Canada, England and South Africa
- developing fundraising communications and support materials
- managing fundraising campaigns including mailing lists and direct mail campaigns
- grant requests
- newsletters, website, etc.
- training, wrote a Fundraising Handbook
- coordinating 4 international conferences
